Juan Carlos Villavicencio
Juan Carlos Villavicencio (Puerto Montt, Chile, 1976) is a poet, translator, and editor of Descontexto. He has translated works by Georg Trakl, T.S. Eliot, Fernando Pessoa, Toni Clapés, Sara Teasdale, Jerome Rothenberg, the French poems of Vicente Huidobro, and Thomas Merton, among others. His poetry books include TheHours (2012), Breaking Glass (with Almonte, 2013), Oscuros ríos (2018), Visiones de María Magdalena (2020), and the play Antígona en el espejo (2021).
