Elfie Tromp

Elfie Tromp (1985) is a poet, writer, and music theater maker with a sharp, activist, and boundary-pushing style. She was the city poet of Rotterdam (2023-2024) and was previously appointed summer poet of 2020 by CPNB. Her work, including the poetry collection Victorieverdriet and several novels, is characterized by layered stories in which Tromp skillfully navigates between feminism, activism, and collage techniques. She often works across genres and forms, with her novels incorporating theatrical elements and her poems featuring song structures.
