Edward van de Vendel

Edward van de Vendel (1964) is a versatile writer of children's and youth literature, poetry, and non-fiction. His work, often published by Querido, is praised for its accessibility, sensitivity, and imagination. As the initiator of Slash, Querido Glow, and Tijgerlezen, he is actively committed to innovative youth literature. He translates, creates podcasts, and has been a publisher at Blauw Gras since 2023. His oeuvre has been awarded several honors, including the Theo Thijssen Prize (2024), and his books have been translated into more than 25 languages.
