Cristóbal Bianchi

Cristóbal Bianchi is a scholar, poet, and multimedia artist. He has published El trigo oscuro de mi boca (Ed. Sudamérica, 1997) and Avistamientos (Ed. Aparte, 2022). He received a Pablo Neruda Foundation Fellowship in 1996 and a Chilean National Book Fund grant in 2016. He is a founder of the Casagrande Art Collective. His experimental film Weathered by the Sun (2024) was awarded as Best Micro Short film at the Austin International Art Film Festival (USA, 2024). He holds a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London. Currently, he is Assistant Professor in the Studio Art Program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, US.
