Carlos Soto Román

Carlos Soto Román (Valparaíso, 1977) is a poet and translator. A pharmacist by profession, he also holds a Master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. His poetry books include Haikú Minero (2007, 2021), Chile Project: [Re-Classified] (2013, 2015), Antuco (co-authored with Carlos Cardani Parra, 2019), and 11 (winner of the Santiago Municipal Prize for Poetry, 2018). He is the first to translate Charles Reznikoff’s Holocaust into Spanish.
