Forgetting

I recall only the cup that thirsted for me
The impassioned whispering
The clamorous moment
I remember only the soul prayer
Inside the body temple
I recall only a blooming garden
A soil that couldn’t have enough of my running
And a sun that conspired with my lying
I remember only Virginia Woolf’s room
A lesson on love
And another lesson on madness.

نسيان

لا أتذكر إلا الكأس العطشى إلي
والهمس المتقد
واللحظة الضاجة
لا أتذكر إلا صلاة روحي
في معبد جسدها
لا أتذكر إلا حديقة زاهية
تربة لا تشبع من ركضي
وشمسا تتواطأ مع كذبتي
لا أتذكر إلا غرفة فيرجينيا وولف
ودرسا في الحب
وآخر في الجنون
