NIGHT BIRD SERIES

I dreamt each time we’re together, three people are there.
You said, the other one is a bird.

When I call your name, the bird calls as well.
When you call my name, he’s still calling.

His voice is like a pipe collecting night dew,
stretching out from the dark window.

When we’re quiet, his calls continue.
The calls imply something, but don’t name names.

His calls contain another vaster cry,
a kind I thought couldn’t exist outside of human screams.

NACHTVOGELS, SERIE
