Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva & Dick Ronteltap - miniconcert

Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva is a bassist, composer, improviser and visual artist (KAMP HORST, Antistrot). Jamming and improvising run like a black thread through all his artistic pursuits, music ánd art. 'I think everyone does it: as soon as you are born you start improvising.'By now the bass guitar seems to hold no secrets for him. He plays rhythmically as well as melodically and with the help of an impressive battery of effects he gets the most bizarre sounds out of his instrument.

In Dick Ronteltap's work, uncontrolled experiments result in connecting creations. On the street, Dick 'jutters' materials which he wilfully transforms into real portraits. He transforms used cupboards, windows and doors into colorful installations of a cheerful reality. He emphasizes the acceptance of this reality, advocates not throwing away the past, but rather elevating it to art of the present.
