Red Yellow Orange Blues

Monumental video work & hangout

Especially for Poetry International Rotterdam, artist Marieke van der Lippe is creating a monumental video work with poets Anne Vegter (Netherlands) and Ishmail Kamara (Sierra Leone) and the visitors of the Paulus Church. The work is based on the idea of theologian Dorothee Sölle that the capacity to wonder is linked to the awareness of injustice.

Filmmaker and visual artist Marieke van der Lippe has been photographing sunsets by the sea for years now. In being in the same place at the same time, in this 'Being in Twilight, you stand with your back to hectic activity and experience the grand infinity.

During the three evenings of the festival the work will be shown in the festival hangout: the new Buitenkiosk aan de Maas of Verhalenhuis Belvédère.
