Performance Gershwin Bonevacia
16:00 - 16:15 hrs
Gershwin Bonevacia was the City Poet of Amsterdam from March 2019 to March 2022. As a poet, he likes to approach topics such as the city, education and the past with a playful philosophical approach. He weaves Harry Potter or Balenciaga into his poems just as easily.

We can't close the festival without one last shot of poetry: at this closing drink, where everyone is welcome to talk and dance after, we'll be treated to one more celebratory poetry performance as we toast the festival. Here's BOYBAND: The Literary Boyband!
Fast headsets, tight white shirts, smooth dance moves and sexy literature, BOYBAND: The Literary Boyband brings it all together. Think Take That, The Backstreet Boys, but with lyrics to lick your literary fingers. Literature to dance to or to scream through with the language virtuosos Jelko Arts, Koen Frijns, Laurens van de Linde, Martin Rombouts and Wout Waanders.

Since 2006, The Itinerant Poetry Librarian has been traveling the major literary festivals of this world. Everywhere she goes, she displays her colorful library of lost and forgotten books and collects the sounds, poems and poetry of the cities and people she meets. For the last fourteen years - minus those last two - she also installed herself at the Poetry International Festival, and so Rotterdam is in the top five in terms of membership.
