Laura Vazquez

Reading

The slightly surreal poems of Laura Vazquez (France) have a hypnotic effect; the repetition of her vivid words draws you into the poems as a reader. Her theatrical recitation also has that effect. In her work, she explores what it means to be alive, tries to listen with her body to understand the world. A world plenty of room for mystery and questioning. This spring her latest collection will be published, she is currently working on her first play: a lesbian tragedy.

This is a program with Radoslaw Jurczak. In this program, both poets read their entire festival selection with recent work.
