Would you like to write a poem but don't know how to do it? Or have you been writing for a while and are you ready for new inspiration and writing assignments? Together with Bibliotheek Ommoord, Poetry International organizes a monthly Poetry Café!
Under the guidance of experienced poet and teacher Daniela Jerez, you will learn all about poetry, how to write, where you get your inspiration from and most importantly: Daniela will give you inspiring writing assignments. If you feel like writing poetry in a relaxed atmosphere... then come along! No experience necessary!

Meet your teacher
Daniela Jerez is a Colombian writer who has recently expanded her literary horizons from Spanish to Dutch. Her texts reflect her deep connection to life, stories, and words, and explore the nuances of identity and emotional duality in her double life between Colombia and the Netherlands. She primarily writes poetry and stories. Daniela has presented her Dutch-language texts on various stages, strengthening her presence in the Dutch literary scene.
