Ingmar Heytze

Ingmar Heytze (1970) is a Dutch poet, columnist, and performer based in Utrecht. He made his debut in 1992 and became known for his accessible, melancholic, and often gently ironic poetry. Heytze has published numerous collections, including Gemengde gevoelens (2019), Zorgvlied (2021), and Postkamer (2025). In Postkamer, he writes 71 letter-poems addressed to subjects ranging from fog and stuttering to the moon, offering an original blend of the everyday and the existential. His poems frequently appear in public spaces such as walls and bridges, and he served as Utrecht’s city poet from 2009 to 2011. Heytze’s work is characterized by its clarity, personal tone, and broad appeal.
